Short version: your tasks stay on your phone, there is no account on the free plan, and the only thing that ever leaves your device is the task text, only when no template matches.
1. Who we are
LaunchPad is operated by Andrew Turth, an independent developer. Questions: uselaunchpadapp@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
You give us
- Task text, the sentence you type. Stored on your device. Sent to an AI provider only when no built-in template matches.
- Email address, only if you join the waitlist or subscribe to Pro.
Collected automatically
- Crash reports and basic device info (model, OS version), not linked to you.
- Aggregate counts of breakdowns generated per day, in total, never per person.
Never collected
- Location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, advertising identifiers, or payment card numbers. There are no third-party ad or analytics SDKs in the app.
3. What the AI sees
When no template matches, the exact sentence you typed is sent to Google Gemini to generate steps. Nothing else goes with it: no name, no email, no device identifier, no history of previous tasks. The text is not used to train models and is not retained by us after the steps come back. If you never type a task that misses the template library, nothing is ever sent anywhere.
4. Where your data lives
On your device. There is no account on the free plan and no cloud copy of your tasks. Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google, who tell us only that a subscription is active.
5. Sub-processors
- Google Gemini — generating custom steps
- Apple App Store / Google Play — subscriptions
- Our email provider — the waitlist and nothing else
We do not sell or share personal data. There is nothing to sell.
6. Your rights
- Delete everything by deleting the app, or from Settings if you want to keep the app.
- Unsubscribe from the waitlist via the link in every email.
- Ask us anything about your data and get a real reply.
GDPR applies if you are in the EEA or UK; our legal basis is contract and legitimate interest. CCPA applies if you are in California; we have not sold personal information, ever.
7. Retention
Task history stays on your device until you clear it. Crash logs are kept 30 days. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Children
Not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Material changes get an email to anyone on the list before they take effect. The date at the top is always current.
